Sjoerd Weikamp

Sjoerd Weikamp

Profile

Sjoerd Weikamp (39) is owner and chief-editor of the number 1 Dutch event media-platform EventBranche.nl. Each year they publish their #EventTrends in which they try to give an overview of what is going to happen to our industry, where are our challenges and our opportunities? This year, to give an example, EventBranche.nl named 'Say bye to the Stage', 'Influencereventmarketing' and 'Events as a trustworthy motor for your Branding-campaign' as 3 of the 20 trends for 2019. But they also look at the opportunities for our business. 'The power of event-marketing within the big Social topics, that would be my number one. We demonstrate, we scream at each other, we use tv-show or social media to put more oil on our discussions,...but why not use the power of life? Bringing people together, let them interact, inspire them with new ideas, changing the world...I strongly think our industry will go beyond marketing and business communication in 2019. But of course, I will bring the best examples, the best cases out of the heart of the live marketing and live communication world as well to inspire you guys on the 29th of March at the EventFest. I am a strong believer of event-marketing and live communication as the Nr. 1 impact-tool within the marcom-mix and will show you why with some of the most powerful examples', says Sjoerd Weikamp who's company won a Best Event Award World for their Gouden Giraffe Event Awards, the Dutch awards-show for the best event-marketing and live communication in The Netherlands: https://youtu.be/M5CcB-vGZE8
